It wasn't fancy but did keep them warm and dry! They also revived an old orchard with many apple trees and some cherries, pears, walnuts, etc. Quite the story, which he recently published in Impossible Beyond This Point. And nearly 50 years later, the dream continues and I am blessed to be a part of it!Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15121595693364379806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7051609727272394086.post-60820115821931519412014-03-19T18:32:21.136-07:002014-03-19T18:32:21.136-07:00truly a excellent read and a great memory nudge fo...truly a excellent read and a great memory nudge for me!

thank you so much for posting this.Echohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18390281596505365476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7051609727272394086.post-90089436956718199082014-03-17T12:11:45.575-07:002014-03-17T12:11:45.575-07:00I'd condense 5, 6 & 7 into one simple item...I'd condense 5, 6 & 7 into one simple item. Establish a population of native or naturalized food/medicinal plants that will prosper in your area. Rhubarb and strawberries wouldn't do so well here in the Southwest...but sweet mesquite (edible edible seeds) and prickly pear cactus would. Instead of taking money for rent, they can work to restore the cabins, keep the fields cut back, ect.
